Job overview
SNV is hiring a Project Manager to lead one of its energy projects in Nigeria. The role involves overseeing project planning, implementation, budgeting, reporting, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement and team leadership.
The successful candidate will work closely with SNV's Country Director, global energy leads and local technical teams to deliver projects focused on energy access and renewable energy in Nigeria.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, Energy Management, Energy Systems or a related field
- At least 8 years of experience in energy sector development
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy and Nigeria's energy sector
- Experience managing complex development projects and teams
- Experience with monitoring, evaluation and learning
- Strong donor engagement, proposal development and resource mobilisation skills
- Experience working with private-sector organisations and SMEs
- Knowledge of energy financing mechanisms and Nigeria's energy transition agenda
- Experience with gender equality and social inclusion in development programmes
- Strong partnership and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
